Can you freeze away fat? It comes down to science. Fat cells freeze at lower temperatures than surrounding tissues (-11 degrees). This technology delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin.

The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen) and then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and excretes these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good.

Before scheduling a CoolSculpting® Elite treatment, you’ll meet with Dr. Cherup. At this time, she will perform a quick physical evaluation, discuss your goals, and help create a treatment plan to achieve your desired results either through CoolSculpting® Elite or other cosmetic procedures.

CoolSculpting® Elite procedures are completed over several office visits, with gradual results. There is no recovery time, but the final results might not be seen until about 5 months.

Patients should not expect to feel any discomfort. Since CoolSculpting® Elite is a non-invasive procedure with no anesthesia required, patients with health issues that make them poor candidates for other types of surgery often CAN have this treatment.

Each CoolSculpting® Elite treatment will target one area per 35, 45, & 75 minutes (depending on treatment).
